"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"
One of my favourite activities on the agenda today. Decorating outside for Christmas. My family and I decided to keep it simple. We put two trees out from with light and a few decorations.
I’m glad and grateful that it wasn’t cold or snowing outside. That would of made it a little harder to decorate.
As we started decorating outside I didn’t know how I wanted the final look to come out. I knew I wanted to wrap my pots with burlap and put lights on the trees. But other then that I was blocked. As I was putting together the part that I did know, I happened to glance over at my wreath hanging on the front door. Inspirational though told me I need to add pine cones and pompoms. Luckily I still had a bunch of pine cones, that could be used.
As my dad helped me set up the extension for the light. He told me that he needed another extension cord. Which was perfect because I need wool to make more pompoms. So he went out to get supplies we were missing to finish decorating outside.
I’ve included a quick how to for pompom making below
At the end of the day we were all happy with the simplicity and elegance of the two trees flanked on either side of the door. I was extremely proud of the work we accomplish, and by not knowing what the final product was going to look like. My only concern is how will the pompom will withstand to the weather. I’ll keep you posted on how the pompoms uphold, in the coming future.
I would love to see how you decorated your house for Christmas. Send me a picture in the comments below.
