"It's Never Too Early to Start Crafting for Christmas"
Today is the day for crafting. We are making a few handmade ornaments for the tree. I find that this will add an organic touch to our Christmas tree.
I decided on doing three different ornaments. The first is super simple to make and all you need is cinnamon scented pine cones (I purchased mine at Micheals), natural raffia, glue gun and glue gun sticks. The second will be a bit more time consuming but totally worth it. I knew I wanted to incorporate squirrels this year, so I decided to make my own. Supplies need is foam-core, glue and gun, jingle bell, wool, scissors and an X-Acto. I created a stencil and traced it on brown foam-core and used an exacto to cut it out. Used wool to make the squirrels tail fluffy. Then finished it by glueing a bell to its paw. For the final ornament I got wood disk, picture frame eye hooks, gold paint and paint brush. First step is to screw eye-hooks into wood disks. Second step is to paint a Christmas shape or family initials on disk.
So there are all the craft that my family and I will be doing this year. I’m so appreciative of them helping me and creating those memories I will cherish for years to come.
If you would like me to create a step by step video of any of my ornaments leave in the comments below. :)
