"Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, How Lovely are thy Branches"
So my family and I are on are way to pick out our Christmas tree. This year we decided to get a real one. And whenever we buy a real tree we go to Ikea. Because they give a portion to Tree Canada. We buy a tree but helping the environment at the same time. When we first arrived most of the trees looked tiny. But we were on a mission to find the perfect one. The first one was tall enough but not wide enough. We kept looking and we found one that was perfect. But as we were making are way out I found one that was even more perfect. We found the perfect tree to decorate for Christmas.
When we got back home, my dad and I ... the tree. My family and I will be decorating the tree on Saturday so I really wanted the branches to fall. So we can see the front of the tree. Up to now it’s falling nicely almost perfectly symmetrical. But to me nature is imperfectly perfect, which makes it beautiful to look at.
I can smell the scent of pine lingering trough the house. Having the real pine trees truly make Christmas more magical. I was watching a Christmas movie last week and at the end of it the main character was saying how having a Tannenbaum was all the rage in queen Victorias castles. Which got me thinking that it's interesting how life plays out from century to century. Queen Victoria got a Christmas tree in the castles because her husband was German and still to this day we celebrate the season with a tree.
Want to learn more about the history of Christmas Tree and how people celebrate them all over the world.
My favourite day of the Christmas season is only a few days away, decorating the tree.
Are any of you as excited as I am to decorating your tree for Christmas? Let me know in the comments below...
