She started telling me a story about one of her students, who has dysgraphia. Dysgraphia can be explained as not holding a pencil properly and organizing letters in a line is difficult. It can be a struggle with spelling and putting thought on paper.
So my cousin had an idea to use a placebo effect on her student by using a special pencil. My cousin gave her student regular pencil, but told her that it was special pencil. And with that pencil it would help her write better. As silly as it sound, to think that calling a pencil special gave the child courage to actually start writing better, it's a wonderful thing. Not only was my cousin proud of her student, but her student started seeing change in herself. She was seeing that improvement was becoming possible, because of the pencil. Because of that she started wanting to practice writing more and more, stated applying herself everyday. You never knows maybe one day that student will want to become a writer. all because of a special pencil that was disguised as a placebo effect. You never know in life! Anything is possible!!
I just love how magic can work in so many different kind of ways. By telling a child with dysgraphia that a special pencil will make her write better and it actually improvement her writing is powerful. If a child with dysgraphia has the possibility of change. What other kind of illnesses can be cured by using some form of a placebo affect.
Thinking of this brings so much warmth to my heart. If your brain can be rewired to loss signs of dysgraphia, it shows us how anything is possible. All you have to do is believe and trust that it’s true. That student is manifesting becoming better at writing without even knowing she’s doing it. In that its self is something to see as being really magical.
Thank you for reading my blog for today. This story really pulls on my heart strings. Because the student is so young and still has a long life in front of her. She doesn't even know the power she hold within herself.
I would love to hear your thoughts or comment on today’s post. You can leave them down below.
