I’m existed Christmas is just around the corner. It’s the time to celebrate, watch Christmas movies, spend time with loved ones, bake cookies and my favourite part decorate. Decorating for Christmas is so much fun for me, it give me life, like a boost of Christmas spirit. To be honest I’m a little crazy about it that I plan almost a year in advance. Choosing the colour theme and deciding what new kind of cookies to make.
But this year I’m starting a new tradition. A tradition I plan on continuing, and hopefully past down from generation to generation. I felt that since my sister and I are starting to get older. The spirit of Christmas is starting to become lost. We’re to old to believe in Santa and the magical feeling I once got during Christmas. So like I said this year I’m starting a new tradition that includes the hole family all month long. I’m calling it My family Christmas advent calendar.
It’s pretty easy to understand and share with any family member. What I did was create a list of different Christmas activities we can do as a family together, for the 25 days of Christmas. Everyday we do something new together, to celebrate and create those holiday memories. Just like those day I remember waiting up for Santa clause, leaving out some milk and cookies.
The way I decided to design my advent calendar started of course with my colour scheme. This year I went for a more natural mood (all colours of green, wood elements, gold, silver, browns, off white and beige). I knew I wanted little bags hanging on branches. So as I was talking to my mom about this idea (which she loved I may add) and she said she had seen little green bags. When she brought them home I was so grateful because they were perfect.
Finally the fun part started design each bag to represent each day with its activity. They all came out so beautiful, it’s hard to chose a favourite. I’m realizing it’s getting a little long but I’m so excited to share my Christmas with you. So I’ll end it here by wishing you a magical holiday season.
Any comments, questions or concerns leave them down below. I would love to hear from you.
