So today is my cousins birthday day, and I have a craving for white cake with lots and lots of sprinkles. I'm in the process of making the cake to satisfy my childish taste buds. The aroma filling the house feels like a little tease to me. Just thinking of that first bite is bringing me such joy and happiness. Knowing how satisfied il'l be eating my cake in just a few hours.
It's a few hours later and I have just finished baking and icing my birthday cake. Im so excited to start eating my piece of cake, it feels like I have butterflies in my stomach.
There she is my masterpiece of the day! A vanilla cake with extra vanilla frosting and sprinkles. Who ever said sugar can't bring you happiness was wrong. Yum Yum Yummy!!
The moral of this log today is that no mater what you eat today. If it's a banana, a cheeseburger, a cookie, kale chips or a piece of cake.,make sure it brings you joy and happiness.Being grateful for just that piece of cake will bring more things that you can be grateful for into your life. Gratitude can be and should be practiced everyday, just by starting with the food you put into your body. Being grateful at every meal, for every bite you take can only bring good back into your life. Even if its a silly as being grateful for the meal that's in front of you. Let me know what you think about gratitude and if you will practice being grateful toward your food to bring more good into your life.
When I did this practice I noticed the more grateful I was, the more happiness was around me. The more things I wanted in my life came into fruition. Seeing how by just applying this silly gratitude practice toward my food, easily brought more happiness into my life.
